Lake Louise Ski Club Volunteer Policy
The Lake Louise Ski Club is a non-profit organization. Skiing is an expensive sport. We strive to keep the program costs down while keeping volunteer requirements also minimal. We would prefer to ski!
The club's yearly commitments include
- Max Bell Ski Sale - Oct. 22nd - Oct. 26th.
- Casino - March 4 & 5, 2009
- Junior FIS race - Lake Louise - Jan. 10 & 11.
- K2 Race - Lake Louise - Jan. 17 & 18, 2009
- Doug Meyers Nancy Greene Invitational - March 14 & 15, 2009
- Year End Banquet and silent auction - located at the Chateau Lake Louise in April.
- Alberta Alpine Raffle Tickets purchase.
At registration, families with skiers in the NG21, KD, K1, K2, FIS and Skier-Cross groups will be asked to write a cheque for a "Volunteer Bond". This is a $300.00 "bond" which is never cashed if the family helps out in some of our volunteer requirements.
Volunteer Requirements:
As a club, we require assistance from each family with the casino, the ski sale and at least one of our races. In particular, if your child is racing your help is required.
If you are unable to help at these events, additional help is needed with fundraising such as the Parent Co-Ordinator for your child's ski group, collecting the raffle tickets and co-ordinating the Co-Op/Safeway fundraiser. Any additional help is welcome.
